He should be Batman

I started watching Southland right after seeing the The Dark Knight Returns animated movie and kept thinking that this guy would be perfect for a Frank Miller esque Batman. He's got the broad shouldered build, the sense of authority and control like a cop, and that sad wounded Bruce Wayne look. He's just a little older than one might usually go for Batman, but not so old to be implausible. I really hope they just do the John Wayne / Frank Miller / badass Batman at some point. They probably won't.
