The dude has mostly grey hair like most other people past 50. They just have a ridiculous dye job on him (and Daryl). Melissa McBride is the only one who looks like how people their age naturally do but only Abraham and Daryl have been able to get boxes of hair dye in the zombie apocalypse.

Ha, so true, but isn't that the Hollywood way. The poor actors aren't allowed to grow old gracefully, if they want to work. Melissa McBride is lucky working on TWD, but I doubt if she will have grey hair in subsequent roles.
