I think it is a shame that his rendition has never been recorded and released.

I just watched the episode of "The Rifleman" in which he played guitar and sang "Greensleeves". I thought they might only have him sing one verse, but he sang several. Beautiful voice!
And that's what made me look him up here on IMDB, and I'm glad I did. I didn't know about his orchestra's album. I love big band and the ballads of the 30s and 40s.
And yes, I would love a recording of him singing Greensleeves.
