Johnny's Singing Career

I had a .45 of a song Johnny sang on the show. I remember the flip side was "Oh, Patty Ann" But I can't remember the lead song he sang on the Rifleman.

You're something special is the song he sung on The Rifleman.

Does anyone know if he recorded Green Sleeves? He sang that on The Rifleman as well.

The song I was thinking of was Cindy's Birthday and I just found it on itunes. As is something special.

Johnny Crawford lip-synced "Something Special" on one of his episodes of The Rifleman. It was the flip-side to "Cindy's Birthday", and it is a great tune.

The copy I bought way back when did not have Something Special but rather Patti Ann and I should know as I later married a Patti Ann.

That must have been a reissue of the original single, not the one issued from the start. I still have the original single, which contained Cindy's Birthday/Something Special on Del-fi 4178. The original Patti Ann/Donna was Del-fi 4172, which came out a few months before Cindy's Birthday.

I still have my 45 of him singing Donna. You can listen to Johnny on Rhapsody.

Movie girl: Love it and thanks for the info. I have loved Johnny ever since
hearing RUmors when I was 10. Also, Daydream and We BElong Together were fabulous. I got them on Amazon.com.

I just saw him sing GreenSleeves in an episode this morning and was taken aback by his vocal mastery, very, very talented for a young boy at the time. I actually came looking to see if he had done anything further vocally and figured if he did than IMDb would likely have it,

After seeing this listed:The Thirteenth Floor (performer: "Easy Come, Easy Go", "St. Louis Blues", "Bugle Call Rag", "Caravan")

I feel the need to rewatch The Thirteenth Floor(1999) especially would like to hear "Easy Come, Easy Go" since it was also used on the Hellboy soundtrack as well. I'm very curious to hear his voice in his early fifties.

I'm also curious about the film he has listed to act in as "Bud" in pre-production Experiment 77(????) a thriller with Malcolm McDowell, I'll be seeing that the second it pops up. Though the writer/director's track record is less than stellar-Max Leonida.
