Saw him years ago in a WalMart in Albuquerque, NM signing autographs

This was probably about halfway back time-wise between now and the original "Karate Kid". I was in a WalMart in Albuquerque, NM, and they announced on the PA that "Marty Kove" from "The Karate Kid" was in the lobby signing autographs. WTH?? The name didn't ring a bell, but as we left, I looked over toward the center of the lobby, and there he was, the "evil sensei", sitting at a small table with a stack of pictures, ready to autograph one for whoever asked. Strange as hell.
