Awful poster as expected. And sexist. Made on Paintrush? LOL Can't believe Marion accepted doing another mediocre film by that jerk who cheats on her and treats her like crap. And one month before she was announced she said she hated playing herself in Little White Lies...she literally plays herself in this stupid movie.

I personally find the poster very funny and am quite looking forward to seeing this. Also please show me this interview where she said she hated playing herself, because my guess is you're taking it out of context as you do everything you say when it comes to this topic. You haven't seen the film yet, so you can't possibly know whether it's stupid or not.

I don't find sexist posters funny, sorry. And both on a bed, jeez! The way he uses Marion to get attention is hilarious, the man is desperate after so many failures in his career. He had two this year already!

It's my pleasure to show you the interview. She let it pretty clear she hated playing Marie because the character looked a lot like her and she wanted to create something different. You can read the plot whenever you want to, it's all over the web. I do find it stupid a story in which everyone in the cast play themselves and the main issue of the script is the fact that the character Guillaume Canet (lol) felt bothered when a young co-star said he wasn't bangable anymore. If you enjoyed it, good for you. It will make a lot of money anyway, if it doesn't Canet should retire.

You can start watching from 19 minutes. She said the word "hated" many times actually, not only once. Type "cotillard Aol" on YouTube and you will find it.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL. I imagine if some decent director like Michael Mann or Steven Soderbergh or Christopher Nolan or Alfonso Cuaron taking on this scenario and start to go crazy...

Nolan, I love you forever!

Respectful and brilliant directors like them would never make a cheap movie like this 

Now that you mentioned, I would love to see Nolan doing a comedy!

Yep watched it. She does use the word hated but of course, not in the way you wished she said it. She did not hate doing the film, she just finds it difficult to watch because she sees herself in it, not because she hates the film or the character. And it wasn't as if Guillaume wanted her to do it that way and she was stuck, it was her own exploration of the character that led her to do it that way. I wanted to see the interview you were talking about specifically because I had seen others where she had said the exact same thing. So nah, false arguments.

And your opinion on a film you haven't seen yet is based on your hatred for someone you don't know, so it hardly really counts.

This is how you see the interview. Canet said it many times that LWL is about his life (he did a ridiculous cover for Premiere in 2010, in which he was quoted "The film of my life" hahaha) so many characters in it are based on people close to him. Second, the journalist was pretty clear: she asked if Marion had ever played a role that was close to her. Then she thought for a few seconds and mentioned his film. She clearly said she hated playing Marie because she had her voice, her way, her behavior and Marion wanted to create something different. I never saw her saying something like that about a character. So Canet did write it based on Marion and in Rock N Crap he literally did it (he wants money after all, why not use his personal life to sell a stupid film?). Therefore, I find it quite contradictory when she says she hated playing a role so close to herself and a month later she shoots a movie in which she literally plays herself. I wonder if Marcel plays their son in the film to be honest.

Of course I haven't seen Rock N Crap but based on this cheap and thirsty plot I have zero excitement. The sexist poster doesn't help it either. And it's Canet, the only decent film he directed in his life was Tell no One, ten years ago. In my opinion.

That is where you're wrong, and if you've seen other interviews about the film, you'll know that Canet did not base Marie on Marion, he actually let her choose between two roles: Marie and the one of Cluzet's wife. Marion was the one who picked Marie, as she's said so herself. I think it's you who's reading what you want into the interview to further your hate on a man you have never met, based on things you read on the internet and videos you read whatever you want into, while never being able to know for sure what's going on. How do you know he wants money? Did he tell you this? Or are you going to tell me it's pretty obvious based on a lot of things you think you know or can see from someone's facial expression in a photo or video? Do you hear yourself? Do you realise how insane you actually sound? And I'm not saying this to insult you even, it's just that it does sound insane to any sane person. It's not a contradiction because she NEVER SAID THAT. She does not say she hated playing her, she says she hated WATCHING herself. Which she does in every other film, too, as is well known, even if for different reasons each time.

I'm honestly curious: are you a fan of Marion Cotillard? Because you don't sound like one. You sound like you disrespect everything she does, professionally and personally. There's absolutely no way that you can know what goes on in her private life, all you've got are theories created in your head and your head alone. I keep wondering if you're happy in your life, because all I see you do is spew hatred toward people who have never harmed you and have nothing to do with your life so I really honestly am just wondering.
