Not much coverage on him this summer

Last summer it was all about him because he had 2 movies coming out plus Elephant Man in NY and then London. This is suspicious... Were the paps invited last year to follow him and his "girlfriend" everywhere to keep him in the news for these movies?
I mean why all of a sudden no news.

He doesn't really have much going on this year. That's probably why there isn't much news.

reply

yep but that makes me think that the paps were "invited" last year. His fans still want to know what's going on with him but there's actually more coverage on Irina than on him..

Sadly, and I am a big fan of his ever since his Hangover movies, he cannot carry a movie by himself. He has to be in a movie that has to have a mainstream plot or be put in a movie with other big name actors, to be able to carry his name. All his movies I have watched thus far, ones before Hangover and up to Serena, he just has not had a good run.

Reminder: The O.C. resets to its first episode on POP network April 1 @ 2 p.m. EST

He is like THE actor that I really don't get his success and he pisses me off.

You're wrong lol

You are wrong. He can carry a movie by himself. You can argue that de niro was in both limitless and silver linings, but no more than 25-30 minutes of screen time. Especially limitless. Jlaw was also in silver linings but she wasent to well known then.He was phenomenal in American Sniper. Also he was great in place beyond the pines and the 2nd act is all about him.

I think he sat out the rest of 2016 (and maybe 2017 too from the looks of his upcoming production list) to help air out the stench from that "Serena" movie he did with Jennifer Lawrence. He was becoming overexposed and producers constantly pairing him in movies with J-Law really wasn't helping him solidify his A-list status. So I think he's now making like Anne Hathaway and laying low for a while.

Either that, OR maybe he's recently had emergency hair restoration and can't be seen/filmed until the hair plugs take.

Well, it wasn't just Serena, which I loved it for the performance. What killed the movie was the sloppy, careless editing.

But besides Serena there were other bombs like Joy, Burnt, War Dogs, Aloha. And on top of that, he had that fight with Irina at the Tennis court, which was then PR'd as allergies. The whole world with eyes could see that she was clearly crying!

He's been laying low since. Funny though, that the paps are not "following" him when he wants to stay low. But when he needed publicity when his movies were coming out, he was constantly being photographed. Curious how that just worked out...
