Hear me out....

Okay he's not an Oscar winner but he's a good actor!
The thing that ruins it for him and gives him so many haters is one simple thing... His voice.
He just has a voice that lacks major emotion it's not his fault...
I feel the same about the late Paul walker nothing wrong with his acting but the only reason people thought of him as a b list actor is the voice he had..
Please tell me I'm not alone

I agree! I have thought this for awhile! I've always thought of Leonardo DiCaprio's voice in the same way. Don't get me wrong, I think Leo and Hayden are great actors...but there is just something about their voices. It's sometimes hard to find their characters believable I guess...if that makes sense..haha. ?

In Lro's case, yeah... I think I see what you are talking about. There is always something that makes me feel he is not 100% into the character (with the exception of Django Unchained and The Departed in which I found him outstanding).

And now that I think about it... yes, there is definitely something off with his voice.

i always thought it was just a regular voice, you know...with a toronto accent. just regular doesn't make him a bad actor. i agree that a great voice can make him seem better. ultimately the acting will win over everything else. even a voice. i think his voice is kind of unique. and it is extremely hayden.

I loved his portrayal as Anakin. I think he was great casting.

i have heard you, and i think you are wrong.

No he hasn't. He actually said that it was a great experience and that he would do it again in a heartbeat.

I think he is good in both Shattered Glass and Life as a House. I wonder sometimes if any actor could have made that dialogue in Attack of the Clones work. I always liked he didn't rip on the prequels the way Portman did.
