The Little Mermaid

I never thought about this until I was babysitting my little cousins. They were watching the little mermaid and it struck me. Amy Adams would be the perfect perfect PERFECT Ariel and Henry is the perfect prince Eric.

Amy as Ariel https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/8a/ec/55/8aec555649791d053ae887ed68b98542.jpg

I tried searching and can't find any fan collages of them as little mermaid. Its all Emma Watson fan stuff. I can't be the only one to think this.

I remember some Little Mermaid memes featuring Amy and Henry during the promotion of Man of Steel. It's always been my opinion that part of Henry's appeal is that he is the live action version of Eric. Disney conditions little girls on what makes a good prince. Of course he's been blessed with AMAZING genetics.

I prefer clear liquor.

i haven't found the memes of them together as Ariel & Erik.. i have found ones that compare him to Prince Eric

he could do that when they are ready to do the live action Mermaid.

IMDB taught me: cynicism is praised. optimism must be stamped out wherever it can be found.

So true, it would be perfect.

I can't be the only one to think this. You're not the only one. Henry should be prince Eric.

Ariel is 16? Or so, right?

Amy Adams, is.. early-40s? mid-40s? So, that's a bit of an issue.

As for Cavill and Eric, I always thought he looked more like Gaston.

That's what I thought too. Maybe a younger version of her?

Agree. A while back I remember someone starting a thread of HC being Gaston. This was before the live version of Beauty and the Beast was cast. I thought he would have made a great Gaston as some of the lyrics of his theme song were so applicable for him -- there were lines in the song were Gaston was showing off proudly his hairy chest ("... and every last inch of me is covered in hair..."), and the other line of him eating several dozens of eggs so he's "roughly the size of a barge"... Yep, HC's physique would have made him perfect for the role of Gaston. 

Lol

True. There is all of that but I think Cavill genuinely looks more like Gaston than Eric. Eric is leaner with a leaner, pointer jaw whereas Gaston is a thicker, larger, "manly" individual with this thick heavy jaw with the dimpled chin. That's Cavill.

Annnnnd I am sitting here debating the looks of Disney characters in relation to Henry Cavill. I need a hobby.

Remember this famous line uttered by Fred Kwan (the engineer character from Galaxy Quest):
It's the simple things in life you treasure.

Crushes should be like Kleenex -- soft, strong, and disposable.
