Jimmy Carter

You were a wonderful President back in the day!

Not saying he was a great President, but how many Americans died as a result of either of those two actions? His Camp David agreements between Israel and Egypt were a pretty major accomplishment.

I'm well-aware of his failings as president. However, the Olympics is the least of his mistakes.

Dude had low approval ratings and got creamed in his re-election bid in 1980. Has any incumbent ever had such a lopsided loss?

reply

Guy is a piece of shit, he funneled hundreds of millions of dollars worth of weaponry to Indonesia so they could continue their genocide against the people of East Timor, and gave Israel 50% of all worldwide aid so they could attack Lebanon and pour into the occupied territories.

reply

Ronald Reagan was just able to convince the Religious Right, who felt betrayed by Carter’s pro-choice stance, to vote for him.

reply

Explain 1984, Reagan won 49 states in a massive landslide.

reply

Do you even think before you post?

reply

Yeah, those double digit interest rates and gas lines were fantastic...

reply

He meant well but simply wasn't cut out for the job.

reply

Exactly this - nice guy but a terrible president. Not everyone is built for that job.

I wouldn't be surprised if he admitted that himself.

reply

That's about how I feel. He seems like a true gentleman, and an honest, moral person-- exactly the kind of person we will likely never have as president again-- but someone utterly unqualified and incapable of handling the job.

reply

Don’t give up FB. There are some really great leaders in America. Providence and and educated electorate will get the right person in the presidency soon.
