Got too much hate

And it was not deserved. How did the literal devil of crony corporatism Ronald Reagan get little to no scorn post presidential reign yet George does? I will never understand this.

George wasn't that bad. He was placed in an awkward position dealing with a problem previous administrations had potentially caused which lead to attacks on the U.S. The war is what some pf the people ''pushed for''. The poor man took so much crap.

reply

You literally took the exact same words right out of my mouth. I really miss George W. Bush because he was by the best President this country has ever had in my lifetime and is by far my favorite President ever.

God bless him and I pray to God that we as a country will be able to survive this horrible Trump era of politics by the time it's all over.

reply

Right. The man has kindness in his eyes, they were never cold and ''still'' like Trump's. Funny that no president ever had to deal with George's circumstances yet people are too quick to judge him as performing poorly.

reply

He was solid.

reply

He started a war that killed thousands of Americans and close to a million Iraqis (and many Afghans). The guy is corrupt as they come.

reply

No, he didn't get enough because:

1) he said 9/11 was a terror attack
2) he was implicit in the coverup of 9/11 and didn't want an investigation
3) he made up that Saddam posed a threat to the world when he was a contained threat
4) he still went to war despite the UN not backing him
5) no WMD were found. The cost was billions but the biggest cost was the lives lost.
6) any president who sends a man or woman to be maimed or killed lightly is not a good person

The Katrina thing was a stupid beat up. I never got why people turned him on that. His mistakes were the deaths that ensued because him and his backers wanted to secure America's oil supply.

reply

All BS. I remember when he was president, and everything was his fault. Now everything is Trump's fault. No matter who the Republican president is, everything is always all his fault.

reply

Personally, I am eagerly awaiting the future Republican President who will bring all the Lefties out to post in fond memory of President Trump. If they are doing it now for Bush, whom they LOATHED while he was in office, you can bet it will happen again with Trump. Whoever that guy is, let him come soon.

reply

Yep. A trip or 2 to Fallon and SNL and all will be forgotten as the brainless left will have a new Republican to call “Hitler”.

Meet the new communist Democrat party of hate, same as the old communist Democrat party of hate.

reply

We are still waiting for the weapons he was sure Saddam had... come on! He was the worst!

reply

Yes he was, it really puzzles me how US politics work. When we get a guy like George Bush that lied, caused war and economic chaos so that he and the gang around him want to be hundreds of times richer by waging war against countries that barely had any defenses (Afghanistan) or WMD's (Iraq) and they got away with it causing hundreds of thousands of deaths and the rise of terrorism in places that didn't have any (Iraq and Syria as an example).

And today we are talking about putting Trump on trial and jailing him for things far less destructive than the previous presidents. Maybe because Trump is honest about his crazy policies compared to the two faced presidents we got.

reply

Agreed. The truth is Bush was obbeying to the establishment desires when he did all of that, while Trump, maybe not always, but often disobbeyed to the establishment causing their anger

reply

Yeah it’s amazing how Saddam had them all through the 90s because we sold them to him. And then suddenly when it came time to go to war, the Democrat media told us he didn’t.

"Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors." Bill Clinton - 1998

reply

I will say this for G. Bush - while not fond of him as president or of his policies, I think out of office he has shown tremendous growth, humility, and respectfulness and I like him much more than back then. Sadly, I think when president he surrounded himself with advisers and cabinet people that persuaded him to do things he might have done differently than he would have with other aides.

reply

His presidency was a bit of a trainwreck, but overall I think he was a good man, just was too in over his head and didn't surrond himself with good people.
