She Cried No AKA Freshman Fall
A lot of people must have thought that what happened to D.J. Tanner-Fuller from Full House and it's spinoff, Fuller House (played by Candace Cameron Bure) in this movie called She Cried No AKA Freshman Fall which was her first film after she got married and which aired on NBC on September 23, 1996 which was 3 months after she got married was her fault. I think they're wrong. I bet D.J. takes full responsibility for her actions in this movie and she now knows that some of the things she did in this movie weren't very smart but whatever D.J. did in this movie, she didn't ask to be raped. Like in the other movie she starred in called No One Would Tell where she was abused and murdered which was her last film before she got married and which aired on NBC on May 6, 1996 which was a month before she got married, we might say she wasn't very smart but we wouldn't say she deserved it. We wouldn't say her abuser in that movie was innocent because of what D.J. did in that movie. No one deserves to be raped. No matter what the circumstance, if a woman says no and a man forces her to have intercourse, whether that force is physical or emotional, that's rape. That's the law. A woman is raped on a college campus every 21 hours. 90% of all college rapes go unreported. Only 1 out of 100 of these rapists is prosecuted. I'm sure it wasn't easy for D.J. to talk about what happened to her in this movie. It wasn't easy for her to say she was raped in this movie. D.J. came forward with her story in this movie to encourage other women to come forward with theirs. Date rape has been a crime of silence for too long.
