Plus, when Dave Coulier introduced Candace to Valeri, she also met Pavel. She must have saw something more in Valeri than Pavel.

As well, I started following the Montreal Canadiens when Valeri was drafted by them. It was later when I found out he was engaged to Candace. That made me follow his career and the Canadiens EVEN MORE!

As for Pavel, he wasn't really all that great. As was already stated he was a tremendous douche, and cared more about his hair than winning. And other than one year in Vancouver he never did squat in the playoffs. In all his years playing only maybe 4 or five were really impressive. The rest of the time he was either hurt or too busy beating up reporters with Anna Kournikova to care.
