She was getting fired.
THE VIEW has had major cast change overs on the past few years. 2 years in a row they had major changes. One year Barbra Walters Sherri Shepherd & Jenny McCarthy. The Next year The View added Rosie O'Donnell, Rosie Perez, Nicole Wallace and none of them returned the following year. Last year Paula Faris Michelle Collins, Raven Symone, Candace Cameron, Stacy London and Molly Sims joined up. At the last minute the show re-hired Joy Behar. It was clear Michelle Collins was not working. Candace had major problems speaking up and Raven always sounded like a 15 year old. Paula and Whoopi clashed on and off the set.
Molly was mad because she was to be a fill in but after a few weeks she was asked to leave since "They were not using her". Stacy signed on thinking she would be a co-host but when Joy returned Stacy was now sidelined to doing a segment on Mondays. Now with none of these women working out ( PAULA CANDACE RAVEN MICHELLE) more changes were made. Midway last year ABC NEWS took over the show and they added Sarah Haines as a fill in (for Candace Cameron). Later that year they hired Jedediah Bila as a fill in for Candace. They also hired as a fill in Sunny Hostin. These ladies did work better than the other new hires but ABC did not want to fire Michelle, Candace, Raven and Paula all at once. They did not want the show to get more bad press. So only Michelle was fired. At the beginning of the year Jedediah was made a full time host costing Paula her hob as a regular.
Paula, Candace, & Raven were now considered part time to the show. What the show did for season 20 was slowly move in Sunny as a full time host and slowly push out Raven and Candace. Its unclear if Paula will be back next year. She might if "Whoopi Goldberg"
