Homophobic mean woman

Ugh. Seeing her on the view showing her homophobic side disgusted me. She supported an Oregon cake shop for turning down a lesbian couple's request for a wedding cake. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but she was so hateful.

reply

She's not hateful.

reply

Sounds like you support fascism. The baker never turned down the customer until the shop owner refused to cater a gay wedding. Sounds like you're the hateful one.

In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.

reply

Look people, her life is grounded in the word of God!! The Bible is the final authority-and it specifically says that a man shall not lie with another man. Love it, hate it, like it or lump it! And I'm old enough to remember when ANY shop could hang a sign that states "The management has the right to refuse service to ANYONE"!! When did that right disappear?

reply

I might be mistaken, but hanging a sign on the wall saying you can discriminate doesn't mean you can discriminate.
If a hospital doesn't give competent care, hanging a sign, or having people sign a waiver, dlesn't mean they are absolved of their incompetence.

You can't contract yourself out of bad behavior.
Businesses can't say We are open to the Public -- except those we don't want to serve.
Hospitals can't put a waiver in a sign-in sheet saying they aren't responsible if they don't know what they are doing.
I'll try harder to make more sense in the future.

I'm just saying businesses can't make up contracts to get out of bad behavior.
If a hospital doesn't act in a competent manner, they shoudn't point to a piece of paper that says we've consented to hacks trying to make money off of a vulnerable person.
And who has the chance to make a rational decision over what hospital they go to?
We have the worst Health System in the First World, and they abuse everyone who is vulnerable.

That right disappeared when the animals running Colorado, Oregon, and Washington decided homosexuals were more equal than other Americans, particularly Christians. Plus, that entire shit show was nothing more than a targeted campaign to punish Christians for their supposed "crimes" against the gay community. You'll be pleased to know that the judge in charge of that circus eventually lost his job, but only after destroying the livelihood of the bakers.

reply

Maybe if you minded your own sex organs instead of sniffing everyone else's business, you wouldn't be so angry and hateful.

The Bible was thrown together by a bunch of men in a room. Christ delivered the true word of God, and that is in the Four Gospels. The rest can be read however you like, but only those four books define Christianity.

People who slavishly follow every word of The Bible in the Old Testament are more Jewish than Christian. There is a reason why it is called "The Old Testament." It is the old word of religion. The New Testament is the Word of God delivered directly to us by God.

reply

That´s all well and good except Jesus himself cited 14 OT books and in Matt 5:17, he says he hasn´t come to abolish the law and prophets but to fulfill them. 2 Tim 3:16-17 says all scripture is God-breathed.

reply

He never signed off on all of it. He sited different parts of it. If He thought the whole Old Testament told us everything, why even speak? What would be the point? Why did Caiaphas and his court want Christ dead? If all He did was sign off on their Jewish scriptures, why was He a threat? And, the second that he disagreed with Moses on revenge, The Bible was no longer the "perfect Word of God." Because, any disagreement across The Bible stops it from being 100%.

reply

Because he knew the Jews that wanted him dead, didn´t even uphold the law themselves, were hypocrites and indeed exposed them as such. The whole point of the OT is to show that none of us are righteous before God since everyone of us broke the law and that as sinners, we need Christ´s blood as an atonement for our sins. Furthermore, "an eye for an eye" was a principle for lawgivers and judges to follow, to punish people for crimes, it was never meant to be applied as some form of vigilante justice. Jesus does not reject the 10 commandments of the OT, he simply raises the stakes. Do not commit adultery becomes, if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery with her in your heart etc.

reply

How can someone be so anti-gay. Sure she's a super X-tian and all, but get off the gay's back you ding bat.

reply

The Bible is the final authority-and it specifically says that a man shall not lie with another man. Isn't that in the part of the Bible that Christians don't follow anymore? The same part of the Bible that says you can't get haircuts or eat pork or shellfish or wear cotton-poly blend? Why are all those latter examples things that Christians don't think God cares about anymore, but when it comes to homosexuality and gay marriage, God is still extremely concerned about it, despite not mentioning it in the New Testament?

And I'm old enough to remember when ANY shop could hang a sign that states "The management has the right to refuse service to ANYONE"!! When did that right disappear? 1964. With a little thing called the Civil Rights Act.

Still I see the sign sometimes...and people still juse it an excuse..

reply

Jesus death on the cross means the end of the old testament laws. Christ is a new covenant and a simple one. If you believe he is your lord and savior then that's it. No more old testament biblical rules. Enough already

reply

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

But if that's the case, that the old testament laws don't count anymore, then Fundies should stop cherry-picking quotes from Leviticus to further their homophobic agenda. And while at it, also the 10 Commandments, which are old testament laws.

reply

She is gone now.

reply

Sure is, sadly enough.
