Dan, PLEASE stay true to St. Elmo's Fire

Mr. Bucatinsky,

I hear you're writing a new series adaptation of St. Elmo's Fire for ABC. This is great news and I wish you the best. All I ask, all we, the fans of the original movie, ask is that you stay true to the spirit and style of the original movie. We all know it's not the 80's anymore, but the film is sacred to so many and we want this series to succeed. The news that Joel Schumacher is attached is the best news ever. Listen to him and please do justice to a film that is nearly sacred to a whole generation of people. That is all we can hope for; that, and ABC having the smarts to put it at 9pm on Thursday nights, maybe 10pm.

^ I agree! It's gotta either stay true to the original movie, or make way for a new group of young adults to learn from their mistakes together...the movie was something we haven't really seen again and I hope that this TV show will come close to what the original so beautifully portrayed :)
