That's not how people sound in New Orleans

He has a Northern AL accent, it's nothing like a New Orleans accent. To me, the NO accent has somewhat of a Boston sound to it, more than a "Southern" accent sound.

For people who aren't familiar with Southern accents, they think everyone with a twang is from the South. I have a distinct accent and I'm from Appalachia, Ohio. But I sound nothing like someone from Alabama or New Orleans.

No, he doesn't have a New Orleans accent. He was born & raised here in Alabama. His character, Chris LaSalle doesn't have one either. His character on here is also from Alabama, hence all his "Roll Tide" remarks on the show.
In real life he is an Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Interestingly enough, his real life brother is a fan of the Auburn Tigers, the other huge football college team in our state.

His accent isn't new Orleans at all. I know he's from Northern alabama, but I have heard perfect matches for it in rural areas around Bristol TN/VA area as well.
