Level 3 charging stations really only take 30 minutes to an hour according to most sites, so that isn't terrible.

Besides, I can count on one hand the number to times I've driven far enough in my life to where this would even be an issue.

I agree that Tesla has an enormous advantage over others such as Ford, Chevy, Kia, etc. with their charging network, but the independents will catch up as more EVs are sold.

I subscribe to a few car magazines and of course everything is about EV's. And they give reasons why they're so much better then evil oil but they never tell the whole story. Just like the MSM lies about wind turbines and solar. To product the batteries they need minerals being mined by slaves. And oh yea America doesn't have any of them so GM, Ford etc depends on other nations. Was born in Chicago now living in Michigan and if I went back home I'd have to get a charge to get there. So just think how many times I'd have to stop if I was driving to Yellowstone. When your on vacation you want to get where your going the fastest. Then you need to buy electricity to recharge, And then all the states will lost gas taxes to help pay for road upkeep. Then they will figure out how to charge a tax for using that electric power.
I'm 72 and the idea of driving an EV is interesting. But then can someone give me $100,000 to buy one. What about poorer people? How are they going to afford this? Be nice if these green people for once be honest.

Short answer, poor people aren't expected to be able to afford EVs. And not only that, there are simply not enough natural resources to build all the EVs to replace current levels of ICE cars. You will be expected to rent EVs or call them like taxis. The government hates people have their own freedom and can decide where and when to go places without being tracked.

It costs me $104 to fill my 18-gallon tank in southern California now, and that's at ARCO (the cheap station). This didn't start with Ukraine, it started its drastic incline on January 20, 2021. If Biden had left things the way he inherited them, Ukraine wouldn't be having nearly the effect on us as it is.
