In 2019, Trump told the Taliban he would slowly remove US troops from Afghanistan and free Taliban prisoners if the group committed to stopping attacks against the US.

He didn't say they were the BEST equipped. He said they were as well equipped as any army in the world. There's a fine difference there. He may still have been exaggerating, but the US has spent decades equipping and training the Afghan military, so it wouldn't be that much of a stretch. However, the Taliban has been able to withstand not only the might of the Russians, but the combined might of all NATO countries. Numbers aren't everything, look at the Six Day War for example. Israel was outnumbered more than 2:1 - their air force was outnumbered 3:1, and the same with armour. Yet Israel utterly crushed their opposition, inflicting more than ten times the casualties they themselves suffered. In that war, Israel clearly had the better training, and arguably the better equipment, but one determining factor for victory has remained constant throughout history: morale. The Israeli was by far more motivated to win than the Egyptians et al., because they were fighting for bare survival. The Taliban are in the same situation, with a similar religious fervour. And given the fact that the Afghans now see NATO withdrawing, that was obviously going to be a huge blow to morale.
Trump was not doing that. But Trump is still colluding with Russia.

His advisors managed to persuade him to postpone it until May 1st, and since you seem unaware of it, that was more than three months ago. Contrary to your asinine claims, Biden did not rush Trump's plan but just the opposite: he stayed longer. And Trump chided him for it, and as late as June 26th Trump accused Biden of dragging his feet, that he would have had all troops home by now. Do you know what this means? share
