She needs her own Spin-off

i know i will get a lot of hate for saying this , but i think (personally) she's the only character interesting and different enough to get her own show after the series is over. she's done so much, she went from being a guest to develop a whole language for amy.

I think the series is still far from over...why think of spin-offs

It only took two posts for this to deteriorate into a petty argument.

She is my favorite character, but I'm not sure she would do well in a spin off. I know I would watch it, though. But it's hard for me to see her as a "well-rounded" character with her schtick. Her character isn't really about "character development" or anything like that. I can't see her being the way she is without other characters to control her (like Sheldon is with his friends).

It's hard to say for certain, though. I could be completely wrong. Maybe a show where she is the lead would work.

But my instincts are telling me that they wouldn't.

Again, I would love it though and would watch it regardless. I also really like Bernadette. Maybe if they both do it together. Bernadette can kind of reel Amy back in if Amy goes too far, or can't really interact properly with the real world.

A spin off really has to work very well for it to succeed, though. It has to become its own show, not part of a greater show. The problem with "Joey" was that it was a portion of Friends. It was never able to measure up to Friends, despite having a great cast and being an overall good show - especially compared to shows today.

The reason why Frasier worked so well was bc it wasn't really just a "spin off" of Cheers. It was a completely new show. It did not have anything to do with Cheers at all. An Amy Farrah Fowler show will have to go in a completely new direction like Frasier did to make it.

Joey tried to recreate a "Friends" feeling with its cast. They didn't try to mimic it exactly like that show Coupling did (which was HORRIBLE), but they definitely did not have the originality the Frasier did.

Anyway, an Amy show seems highly unlikely. But if it is anything like the Daria spin off from Beavis and Butthead, it could be great. I would LOVE a show with just Amy.

No one is arguing? Didn't you just call someone a bitch?
