Russell Crowe on Sacha Baron Cohen at Golden Globes 2013

Russell Crowe@russellcrowe

Sacha Baron Cohen just gave me a run through of his Golden Globes gags, tasteless, dangerous and genius...can't miss that

I can't wait to see what Sacha does this time? Hopefully it's funny and outrageous!

I thought he was hilarious! Russell already knew about it lol! But some people on twitter are bashing Sacha for his joke.

Sacha was hilarious, god damn it people really get offended easily! And just ignore him silvergold, that's what I did!

Not to mention that it's obvious Sacha was just joking! Seriously he was sitting on the same table as Jackman, Hathaway, Crowe (I think) Hooper and Carter so it's obvious they knew he was just joking and not serious!

Take a goddamn joke...

Did you hear about Sacha and the president of the Golden Globes about there fight Joaoiria2? If you haven't I will send you a pm about it.

I don't want the trolls to see it or moderators of imdb.com because it might be removed.

I posted what happened between Sacha and the president of the Golden Globes on E! online and my comment was removed from there site lol!

Let me just tell you he was supposed to introduce the Les Miserables movie and not the animated films and something happened but I will tell you later.

I read an article posted by some blogger that Catharine Zeta Jones was Sacha's replacement to introduce it and he was ticked off!

I thought it seemed odd that someone in the movie did not introduce Les Miserables and Sacha was really, really drunk lol!

So it was not his night lets just put it that way. I was suprized when he actually stood up there with the Les Miserables cast but it wasn't there fault they all agreed that Sacha should have introduced the movie.

Yeah I heard about that, I find it very ridiculous that people who celebrate movies and cinema - with the Golden Globes - are actually trying to censor someone's "art" - of course you can argue that Sacha's movies aren't art. But it's still a movie and part of a cinematic culture, therefore he should at least get that respect from them.

It's also very irritating that they can't respect him! Well at least the president, it's really annoying and it leads to unfairness.

Same thing happens with Jim Carrey (of course this is all speculation) but let's be honest - he made a joke about the Oscars and was never nominated for brilliant perfomances like Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine of the Spottless Mind and Man on the Moon.

I fear Sacha will be censored - it angers me that people can't take a joke! In a world filled with lies and hipocrisy and cinicals - someone who's actually able to joke about that and at the same time be friendly and nice is rare (I Mean for God's Sake, even Russel Crowe likes him! if he takes a joke from Sacha then it's obvious that he KNOWS it's just a joke and nothing else!)

I am a huge fan of him and right now, I'm afraid he won't get the appreciation he deserves on awards level and well even with movie roles - it's obvious people like him Scorcese and Hooper and even Tarantino - and I hope he finally shows everyone what he's capable of and shut everyone up!

I just hope that someone else gets voted in the HFPA as President by 2014? or later so she can't do this kind of crap to people.

I mean I'm wondering if she is even aloud to cut him from future Golden Globe shows and from being nominated? There should be someone to stop her from doing this like her boss at the Golden Globes unless he is against Sacha to?

But obviously someone liked him and voted for him to win the Golden Globe award?

I'm glad Universal and the cast of Les Miserables backed up Sacha to present the movie but somehow at the last minute she did something to screw it up for him. Because the article said he was reinstated I think that mean't she or someone else was going to let him present and she went against him anyway.

The thing is on twitter.com when Brian May announced that Sacha was going to be filming the Freddie Mercury movie in the spring of 2013? The Golden Globes twitter page posted it. So obviously someone likes him over there at the HFPA just not the President of HFPA.

I'm glad he tried to fight for his right to present the movie and the writer said Sacha was being dissed all week for wanting to present so bad.

At least he cares about his non-starring roles enough to fight for the right to still promote them as himself and not a character.

I'd rather Sacha was nominated for other awards anyway instead of the Golden Globes if the president of HFPA is just going to shoot him down for them.
The Oscars are alot better and make an actor more famous or get more work anyway. He already has one Golden Globe to his name and she can't take that away from him even if she wanted to.

He has so many other awards he has won for his work that hasn't even been posted on imdb.com that I have counted on other sites. So he doesn't have to prove his self to the Golden Globes to be liked.

I also think that yes Sacha should be given a chance to host the oscars by himself or with someone else who is funny like him. He was supposed to host back in 2010 but someone thought he was to much of a wild card to do it but it would have been great I think. It doesn't make since that they are letting Seth Mcfarlane who I agree is a very funny man and seems nice but not Sacha? If they let him host they can sure as hell let Sacha present this year.
