>>> many people he interviewed acted horribly without him taking part, like ... Paula Abdul sitting on a mexican as she talks about being humanitarian...
Of course he took part. He set the whole scene up. This is actually a perfect example.
His message is: "Look, world, at what a *beep* Paula Abdul is. She pretends to be a humanitarian, and she sits on people!"
This is a perfect example of what I think is totally dishonest about it. She clearly is very uncomfortable about the whole thing. You can see that in her expression every single moment of the scene.
People like to be polite. They don't like to cause scenes. She obviously felt socially uncomfortable to tell Bruno that she found his setup immoral. People don't like to get into moral debates with total strangers.
Yes, it's not nice to sit on people. I get it. But, as I said, she didn't do it out of callousness. She was caught off-guard in a socially awkward situation and didn't want to raise a stink over it.
She probably figured: okay, these people are getting paid to do this. This guy's some kind of eccentric nut. Okay, it's not so nice, but I'll play along and get the hell out of here.
So SBC sets up a situation so that he can embarrass her in front of the world, for being a cruel hypocrite, when the truth is that she just didn't know how to handle a socially bizarre situation.
I think SBC's is a major *beep* for these kind of scenes.
I think he's funny as hell, and I've watched hundreds of hours of his stuff and laughed many times, but there's a really ugly side to him, that I think is seriously evil.
