RIP

Classy actor, fondly remember him as Odo.

RIP Mr. Auberjonois.

reply

Oddly enough I always remember him most for Police Academy 5. He was the only reason to watch that movie. Then I think of him from The Patriot, then Benson and finally (as you said) Odo from Star Trek.

reply

Oh, this is sad. Odo was one of the most memorable Star Trek characters but my favourite of his performances is in McCabe and Mrs. Miller. Terrific actor. R.I.P.

reply

Oh, my god, that's right, he was in that movie. I don't remember his part being very big, but I do remember that he was in it.

reply

A mainstay character actor on tv shows since the 70s.i best remember him from Trek,Boston legal and Benson.

reply

Mostly Chef Louis from The Little Mermaid for me (very short, but funny performance). But lots of other tv roles as well.

Very sad.

reply

In my post above I forgot to mention his memorable guest spot on Frasier. The scene in which he wears a frilly nightgown is classic.

reply

He is in an episode of Wonder Woman where he plays a cat burglar. He has to recover some moon rocks or gems that he steals from an observatory and hastily hides in a crate being sent to a scifi convention. He finds the geeky guy (a friend of Diana) who the crate was sent to and the guy mentions to him that Diana is his date for the night. The expression of disbelief on Auberjonois’ face is priceless. RIP

What did he die of?

We will miss you, Odo.

reply

Odo rocked.

“Constable Odo is on the case.” If Janeway trusted him, so did I.

You gave many of us a lot of pleasure, Rene. Rest In Peace until your next incarnation.
