Oddly enough I always remember him most for Police Academy 5. He was the only reason to watch that movie. Then I think of him from The Patriot, then Benson and finally (as you said) Odo from Star Trek.

In my post above I forgot to mention his memorable guest spot on Frasier. The scene in which he wears a frilly nightgown is classic.
shareHe is in an episode of Wonder Woman where he plays a cat burglar. He has to recover some moon rocks or gems that he steals from an observatory and hastily hides in a crate being sent to a scifi convention. He finds the geeky guy (a friend of Diana) who the crate was sent to and the guy mentions to him that Diana is his date for the night. The expression of disbelief on Auberjonois’ face is priceless. RIP

Star Trek actor Rene Auberjonois has died at 79 after a battle with metastatic lung cancer. Best known for his roles in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, MASH and Boston Legal, the actor passed away at his California home, his son Remy-Luc confirmed.
