I think Epix already knew there was a S2 since the beginning, and indeed Orser was talking about it during the premiere. This means RA already knew too, and indeed his post-brexit tweet hoping to gather again with cast and crew of BS let us understood it was a concrete chance. Hence, he has certainly scheduled his commitments "around" the six months period in Berlin.
O8 is a very small role in the best case, a cameo in the worst one and he probably has already wrapped.
James in My Zoe is obviously another small role because the whole film is about the mother and the daughter. So either James dies or he does something very stupid bringing the tragic event descripted, but he gets out of the movie pretty quickly. Being and indie, 2 months are the usual length of filming. If they start in March, RA has the time to do his part then go to Berlin, since BS starts shooting only in April (I guess after Easter holidays). And after that? Maybe it's too early, and there will be something before that, but I strongly hope it will be London again for Oedipus to Antigone.
If they wanted Daniel out of the series, they would have let him died in the first one, or just let us know he returned to wherever he was staying, no need to have him in S2 and let him die. Unless RA signed for just 2 series and doesn't want a third, so he could die during or at the end of S2. But it's a bit early to discuss about it LOL!
