Who designated him Hollywood's official white knight?

Funny I just replied to a post saying pretty much saying the same thing, Apatow comes across as the guy still trying to be "down with women" to get them to like him.
Can't stand the " men are idiots women are superior" guys like him.

When honestly both are equally sexist. It makes women seem like they are incpable of failure or even worse being filled with self interest. Gillian Flynn likely views the white knight as smug sexism.
