Best telejournalist after Edward R Murrow

With “Dean” Edward R Murrow and Walter Cronkite, CBS news established the Gold Standard for television news, bar none. Years later, Christian Amanpour carried on that tradition with strength, courage and unflinching perseverance. Among her achievements, she shamed CNN into covering the funeral of Mother Theresa to counterbalance the shadow of the network’s shameless over-coverage of the senseless death of Diana Spencer. A saint versus a party twit? I do not think so.

Thank you, Christian Amanpour. You helped to stave off the cesspool that network news has become. It was a courageous fight.
