Changes in Sasha's face? Botox? Pregnancy?

Has anyone else noticed how different SA's face looks in the promos for R&I? I can't decide whether it looks stretched, frozen or broader with pregnancy (though there's no mention of a pregnancy in the press). She still looks lovely, but there's just a change I can't put my finger on. She seems too attractive and too young to start doing all that dopey Hollywood crap to herself.

I too have noticed the change but I don't think it's Botox or plastic surgery. She really doesn't seem like the type that would get such things done but, eh, i don't know her personally.
At the time the promos were filmed, she had just given birth 3 months prior to a baby boy. So her face is just fuller because of the pregnancy and the baby fat.

She has since then lost weight and her face isn't as broad anymore, I've noticed. She looks very good. Just a bit tired.

Hard to say about the surgery. I think she's using a little botox; I'd have to see her again and look more closely.

I've noticed she was not half as striking, in my eyes, after she left NCIS. The blonde hair and the plucked eyebrows made her seem more "average". I was amazed how less attractive those minor changes seemed to make.

Well... now I know it wasn't just me! I thought she had a different look, too. I hope she's not doing any cosmetic surgery.

I would have to look again to know about surgery; if she did, it's not as glaringly obvious as some.

She's using some botox, though.

What I think is most impacting, though, is her "style". She once had a more stunning look, with the darker, more alluring hair and the more natural makeup. She actually once bordered on an "exotic" look. Now it's more "vanilla".

Personally, I don't think she's had surgery or using any Botox.

I think the changes in her face you guys are seeing is her getting older.
In NCIS she was about 29 or 30 years old. Now she's 38 years old, approaching 40. That's almost a 10 year difference. So obviously, her face isn't going to stay the same. It's going to change. We all age differently.

If anything, i think the stress of having just had a baby and then going right back to work is affecting the way she looks more than anything. When you have a baby, say goodbye to your sleep. Babies can keep you up ALL night and on top of that, she's working 14-16 hour days on R&I.

Though she's gorgeous, she looks exhausted all the time. It's more telling around her eyes. She has dark bags under her eyes, and slight crows feet because of lack of sleep. If she was using botox, those would not be there.

ETA: I agreed that she looked very "exotic" looking in NCIS but that was greatly due to her dark hair. With the honey-blonde hair, the exotic look is gone but she still looks good. Plus, the blonde hair also helps to further highlight the difference between her character Maura and Angie Harmon's character Jane in Rizzoli & Isles. So it's all good.

POSSIBLY. Although I also hold that there's a LOT to be said about her stylistic changes, which include hair color and makeup.

She used to be much more dynamic looking, and not just for the fact she had slightly different facial contours. Her eyes seemed more more intense and her overall presence was more striking. When I saw her on House, it took me a bit for it to even register it was her (I had only seen a few of the first season eps of NCIS).

Although she left NCIS in 2005 and her appearance in House was 2010, so that was more like ~5 years.

I will, however, agree that in her case surgery, etc., isn't as obvious as with some people. Indeed, if surgery weren't SO common in Hollywood, I wouldn't even think about it for Sasha. I see obvious face lifts, fillers, collagen and botox in some women, but I haven't seen it in Sasha.

It seemed her face was a little less emotive in an ep I saw of R&I, compared to what I remember from NCIS, but I can't say I saw it closely enough to claim it was a little botox. Admittedly, I need to see more of her to tell.

That can mean a lot, too.

Not true; botox is most commonly used in the forehead and side of the eyes. Bags under the eyes are a surgical issue; botox only paralyzes the muscles above and around the eyes, reducing the wrinkles from repeated expressions.

Again, though, I am most struck by the fact that I thought of her as one of the truly beautiful women in NCIS, but in House, 5 years later, I barely noticed her as anything more than another pretty face.

Now, in R&I, Harmon outclasses her in every way in terms of radiance, sex appeal and sheer physical beauty. The NCIS Sasha wouldn't have been outclassed to that degree.

This is true so it may not apply to the bags under her eyes. But I would think if she was using botox, the crows feet around the sides of her eyes wouldn't be there.

I do agree with you to some extent. She was absolutely stunning in NCIS. Her eyebrows were darker and not as thin as it is now and her hair was darker, more lustrous and slightly shorter. She was also much younger which can also have something to do with it. When i saw her in House, i did recognize her. Though it mostly had to do with her distinct voice, there was still a similarity there that i could see despite her incredibly blonde hair. Of course, different people view her in different ways.

I might have to disagree with you on this point. Angie Harmon is stunning and very beautiful. This is a known fact to just about everyone who watches the show. But I don't think she outshines Sasha in every way. They have different looks about them. Angie is a tall, former model with dark, striking features. Sasha is more petite, with softer features. Her face is not as angular as Angie's and her features are lighter. Light hair, light colored eyes, light colored eyebrows. Angie has dark hair, dark brown eyes, dark, thick eyebrows. Very different.

They're both very beautiful women but, to me, Sasha is just a smidge more appealing. In terms of physical beauty, Sasha still has some baby weight on her so i can't really compare. But if i were to compare Sasha and Angie body-wise from 2009, i would prefer Sasha.

I thought she looked pregnant in last night's episode.
