remaking bloodsport, who else would you get.

i grew up watching van damme and seagel and schwarzenegger and stallone and i love all of the 80's action films that these guys were in. now theres talk of remaking bloodsport and im nominating scott adkins to be the star. seriously, this guy rocks. undisputed 2 and 3 are some of the best action movies to come out in awhile and they went straight to video. he could have easily been in the expendables or any other big budget action flick coming out. please put this guy in something before its too late. anyway, off the point here, who do you wanna see in this remake or your perfect action cast. obviously im nominating scott and michael jai white.

Scott's a total given for the lead - if he doesn't do it they should shelve the idea of doing a remake...

I'd nominate (in addition to Michael Jai White and a hopeful cameo by Van Damme, even better with a cameo from Bolo Yeung too!) - Tony Jaa, Darren Shahlavi, Cung Le as fellow fighters (in small roles, so that most of their scheduled time could be spent on the fight scenes!) and maybe someone like Randy Couture playing the buddy who got injured in the original (if they go down that path). I'd imagine a few other MMA names would probably get in there too. So long as the other fighters are shown to have a wide range of skills and tactics to differentiate themselves from the usual fellow competitors...

No idea who could stand in for the lead villian, tho - they'd have to cast someone really formidable to make him a believable threat!

There is a huge list of actors that could be picked for the Bloodsport remake as they all are martial artists, some of the potential choices are:-

Ray Park - Wushu & Chinese Northern Shaolin Kung-fu
Tony Jaa - Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do & Judo
Michael Jai White - Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Okinawan Kobudo, Goju Ryu, Tang Soo Do, Wushu and Kyokushin Karate.
Nathan Jones - Wrestling & mixed martial arts
Ian Whyte - Zheng Dao Lo system of Chinese martial arts, incorporating Tai Chi, Ba Gua, Wing Chun and Chinese style kick boxing
Cyril Raffaelli - Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do & Wushu
Jet Li - Wushu & Kung Fu
Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson - Wrestling, Boxing & Muay Thai
Collin Chou - Tae Kwon Do, Wushu & Wing Chun
Oded Fehr - Krav Maga & Kapap
Robin Shou - Wushu
Jon Foo - Wushu & Kung Fu
Lateef Crowder - Capoeira
Rick Yune - Tae Kwon Do
Donnie Yen - too many to list lol

I've put the type of martial arts the actors specialise in so people can see the mix of martial arts that could be brought to the film.

For the main villian I'd go for Nathan Jones as this guy is huge and would make a nice contrast to Adkins, Jones is about a foot taller and at least 150lbs heavier than Adkins.

But if we get Nathan Jones, then we won't be able to get an intensely choreographed fight scene since Jones can't match Adkins in athleticism like Bolo matched Van Damme.

For a final villain I'd prefer to go with Gary Daniels and get him to really bulk up.

My other choice for the villian would be Ian Whyte as he's athletic and his height difference to Adkins would be similar to the famous Bruce Lee vs Kareem Abdul Jabbar fight.

Bloodsport is THE BEST tournament movie, seriously im sorry but Enter the Dragon only get his hype because its the last movie of Bruce Lee. I mean sure the guy helped a lot the martial arts industry, and i respect what he acomplished, the movie was ok overall but the tournament itself was lame, O'hara was pretty bad after having been over hyped and the last fight in the mirror room was too long with pause too often.

Then as to remake Bloodsport, sure Adkins would be choice on, but i think if you remake the ultimate tournament movie, you need an all star cast. Adkins, MJ White need to be in it, squaring again against each other. Marko Zaror would be a plus as a non important character but decently fighting. Ho Sung Pak could play a character also.

You don't need tremendous acting, only good fighters. Van Damme need to cameo for sure... even if its 2 min...

Errr... if we put Adkins, Jai White, and Zaror all in the same movie won't that just look like Ultimate Undisputed?

Their best bet if they want to make this a really good movie is get some serious martial artists like Adkins, lateef crowder, Shahlavi, etc.

and then combine them with good ACTORS who can actually act but also have decent martial arts backgrounds like Wesley Snipes and Jason Statham, etc.

It will bring in a bigger crowd that way and will probably get a bigger budget.
