Adams Lois is not everyone's favourite. Aside from not even attempting to look the part, she also does not suit it. And her Lois is just not as feisty as how Lois should be. Adams version is one step higher than Bosworth. But both are at the bottom pile.

shareWell. Did anyone point out to Ms. Kidder that Amy Adams is, without a doubt, a more accomplished actress than her? I grew up watching the Christopher Reeves Superman movies on VHS. Ms.Kidder was good for the first two movies but was horribly underused in the next two movies, especially in Superman 3. I think Adams does quite fine as Lois Lane. To me, the WORST Lois Lane ever was Teri Hatcher.

It's not Amy's fault, it's the writer.
Lois Lane, via the very first comic, is a shallow bitch who likes thugs and asses. She's the kind of pretty girl who likes "bad boys" and that creates the situation where Clark cannot tell her anything or get anywhere with her as Clark. She thinks Superman is awesome but Clark isn't Superman, he's Clark Kent.
In the first comic Clark and Lois are out and dancing. These gangsters come over and try to force their way in on Lois and she allows it. Clark is like, if that's the way she is, I'm not doing anything about it. Lois then puts Clark down for it and goes off with the gangsters.
Superman shows up and helps her.
Lois doesn't like Clark because he isn't flashy and a jerk. Clark knows who he really is inside and refuses to tell Lois anything hoping that one day she will wake up and like him for being Clark, a really good guy.
If you have a sweet and caring Lois then you ruin the whole Clark and Lois story.
Amy is about as sweet as it gets but I'm sure she could act the role if it was written correctly. It would probably be great for her career too.
Lois has never Bern good in thr movies.
Margot was too butch and shallow
Kate was too young and bland
Amy is just bland and forgettable; it sucks because the writing gives her things to do but she plays it too soft sweet and pathetic. She had no attitude or personality.
The best versions of Lois have been on TV.
1. BVS 2. TWS 3. Avengers
Both actresses played the characters as saw them. Sounds like Margot wasn't ready to pass the baton.
