Stupid, stupid, stupid... Adams gave one of the years best performances, I thought she had this locked up. Stupid...

WORST SNUB IF ALL TIME!!! They had Arrival and Nocturnal Animals to choose from from and she gets completely SNUBBED!!!

Sorry but "snubbed" is the stupidest word ever used in awards season stories and comments. To snub is to disdainfully reject, and I really doubt that applies to voters' feelings about Amy or her performance.
Her not being nominated this year is the result of her not getting enough votes. No snub.

Those idiot academy voters...she should have been nominated and even won. This was one of her best performances. Seriously oscars is becoming really predictable and boring, they always prefer real life and crazy bold performances for nomination and win. This is not fair.

This upset me so much! Very unfair. Thought she would finally get her win this year.

I'm now honestly wondering if having two incredible performances this year actually hurt her. With the very specific voting process that happens with the Academy, I'm guessing it might have been possible that enough people voted for her for both Nocturnal Animals and Arrival that neither performance got enough total votes in the end for a nomination.

I think Amy Adams is the best actress currently working in film. But many critics think that Isabelle Huppert gave the best performance this year, in Elle. I have not seen that so I can't comment.

So fine, Huppert was nominated. But why not Adams? I thought Arrival was one of her greatest performances, right up there with any.

I don't buy that Nocturnal Animals was the reason she did not get a nom for Arrival, but then I don't really know. Maybe the comic book films cost her somehow.
