Producers make more on average es specially when you factor in the time required to do each role.

On the fact that he produces 100.000 projects and direct just 1 or 2 of them? On the fact that after Star Wars 9 (that he didnt wanted to direct in the first place,and came back only because Kennedy asked him this favor) he has no other movies planned to direct? Maybe on this! ^^

He said just this week that he won't direct any DC films like that black Superman reboot he's producing. We'll wait and see.

He prefers to produce,its almost a paradox but he has more powers in his projects like this than in being a director

You're propably right. Altough i loved his writing in Alias and Fringe.

They were fun, but still filled with tons of unexplained "mystery boxes". J.J. can't do anything else.
