I love both franchises Star Wars & Star Trek and I say NO, he doesnt.

Episode VII is nothing more than a moronic reboot of Episode IV. Worse than moronic. Its like one of those italian rip-off, you know...? But with a lot of money. So, this movie sucks because the director and the producres, not because the lack of budget.

I do not know about the other Episodes but the VII is BS from the beginning to the end.

I never like him. Lost and Heroes was crap.
Then he did the first Star Trek. My best friend is an avid fan of the original saga. He was furious. Said that it had nothing to do with the original ST spirit and ideas. Then he said to me "i'll have my revenge. All you Star Wars fans (he hated all SW movies) will suffer as i have suffered. One day that moron will ruin your saga."
That was many years ago. So I just laughed.
Then J.J. really *beep* it up for the SW fans.

It may be a little derivative, but The Force Awakens is still a thoroughly enjoyable popcorn flick and by far the best installment in the franchise since Return of the Jedi.
And based on it's massive worldwide gross of 2.066 billion worldwide (oh, and don't try and use marketing or franchise notoriety to justify it's success, because the prequels didn't make anywhere near as much), acclaim by both professional critics and audiences, and current rating of 8.2 here on IMDb, your opinion that it is "BS from the beginning to the end" may not be as factual as you may think.

Really? After nearly two decades of complaining about everything you hated about the prequels and all the unwanted changes George Lucas made to the original trilogy, you people actually have the nerve to call out J.J. Abrams for supposedly ruining Star Wars? Wow, the internet really is full of whiny, ungrateful brats these days...

Yeah, tell that to the record-breaking box office returns, critical acclaim, 8.2 rating here on IMDb, and the subsequent revival in popularity of Lucasfilm's iconic franchise!
