My favorite role of Amanda Abbington - what's yours

Though I can't say I've seen Amanda in a lot of roles, I've seen about 10 of them, including her newer ones Mr Selfridge and Sherlock (w/ her real life partner Martin Freeman). I think she is a very good actress in all, but my favorite role of hers is as Leone in the last two Booze Cruise tv movies (Booze Cruise II + III), especially in Booze Cruise III. She plays this character who is very believable and endearing. I can't help but fall for her character. I think her peak moment in Booze Cruise III is at the end when they are climbing up the mountain/hill and Rob apologizes to her and asks her to take him back. It’s a short but very believable scene. There is a moment where she is tearing up and stamps her foot. Though she knows she shouldn't do it, her love for him is still there and you know she is . In about 5 seconds she conveys so much and is so believable. As a side note, my wife said she should have told him to go to hell.

If you’ve not seen any of the three Booze Cruise movies, I highly recommend them, though I found the first one with Martin Clunes to be by far the weakest of the three, which surprised me as I like him. Though Amanda was not in the first one, that is not the reason why is it weak. Start with the second and then third one. The entire cast is superb. Suzy Cooper is very good in the third one.

Though her participation in The Robinsons is extremely limited, her brief *beep* off!” bit in the opening credits is really funny.

Does anyone have a favorite role of Amanda's ?

Though I'm not a fan of Mr. Selfridge, I did like Abbington's performance.
