I am happy for her.

reply

She was great in "The Out of Towners".

reply

One of those actors who were famous for a time but now seem forgotten. I only remember her for The Four Seasons determinedly taking pictures of fruit and vegetables.

reply

forgotten to most.

reply

I remember her pretty well, although I wish I would see some of her work more often.
I thought she was very attractive, probably because she usually played women who were cool and confident.
And she was rather good-looking to start with.

reply

It's nice that someone still likes her, and thought she was good-looking, cool, and confident!

Because whenever I see her, she was playing an unlikable neurotic mess, and I wonder what Hollywood was thinking putting her in all those films.

reply

I suppose you're right about some of her roles being a neurotic mess. Mostly I just liked how she looked on screen, and I imagine she had a few roles where she played a capable woman.
Not like she was Joan Hackett or someone like that !

reply

Do you know, I never realized she was a fairly good-looking young woman in her day, until now? I haven't thought of her in years, and when I did think of each other, it was as the unattractively whiny characters she always seemed to play when I'm watching. So I thought of her as unattractive.

So congratulations, today you've made someone change their mind in a small way!

reply

Typecasting. Once you do well in a certain type of role that's all the casting people can think about.

reply

I only became aware of her work about 15 years ago but she has become an actress I really enjoy watching.
