Second Oscar

He is a legend. 13 nominations without a win and then he takes the Oscar twice in three years. Other than the spectacular nighttime sequence I wouldn’t rank 1917 among his very best work, but he is certainly an artist deserving of more than one Oscar.

He always gives likeable, touching, humble speeches, too - and he plays with his hair and scratches his face a lot!
