This MUST be a mistake!!!

IMDB says that he earned 15,000,000 dollars for "Little Fokers"!! If Owen Wilson took 15 millions for his small part, then the budget of the movie must have been 200,000,000!!

The budget, according to Box Office Mojo and other sources, was $100M. That is a hefty amount for a comedy and would allow them to pay top dollar to the talent since there are no special effects and CGI.

Worldwide it made $309M so they got a nice return on their investment. (Whew!)

I appreciate Owen's talent but I, too, have marveled at the price tag he commands. He is a lucky guy!

Trust me, NO ONE went to see this movie because of Wilson (well, except some of his hardcore fans maybe...). EVERYONE went for De Niro and Stiller, period. So,throwing away 15 millions for a casual supporting appearence...that's insane. No matter what the box office is. I presume that he claimed them, and they didn't just say "heeeey,Owen, take 15 big ones to play in a couple of scenes in the new DeNiro-Stiller Fokers movie!!". I guess that he told his agent (or he told them himself, whatever): "You want me in the movie? 15.". And the studio thought "well,we sure have a multi-million hit here,so what is 15? What the hell, let's give it to him...The more stars, the better."

Personally,if I was the head of the studio,I'd give him 5 millions tops. TOPS!! Not a cent more. If he didn't want them, that's ok,nothing would change in the movie.
(Or maybe I'd ask Luke Wilson to play instead! He would take them!).

Heck, Luke would pay THEM $15M just to get a project and his face on the big screen, again. LOL!

When I read the amount I figured that maybe Ben Stiller had some influence (did he produce?) and had them pay his buddy Owen the big bucks. Owen may have some dirt on Ben from his Zoolander days. :)

I was just kidding! I thought maybe blackmail might explain the whopping paycheck. :)

I did notice that Ben produced The Big Year, which Owen starred in and will be coming out later this year. Those two guys are tight like Speedos. (

I'm a fan of Owen Wilson and all but regardless of how small or big his role was; that amount is absolutely INSANE! It makes me so mad how much celebritites are making when there so many people suffering especially now that we've been in a recession for quite some time. Our President; who is actually a very important man in America doesnt make even close to that even though he works all year round for four years and has the most important job in the country while Owen Wilson works for a couple months and makes 15 million. Its just so infuritating.

Don't be afraid to fall in love. It's the only thing that matters in life

I think that a president makes about $100,000 a month. Maybe I'm mistaken. But if this is the case, that means he makes $1,200,000 a year, which is about $5,000,000 in a 4 years term. Which is...the 1/3 of the amount Wilson earned for a few days (yes, I'm sure he shot all of his scenes in "Little Fokers" in much less of a month) of shooting. It is insane. And we're talking about the PRESIDENT, who as you said works all day (presidents don't have day-shifts...) fighting terrorism and trying to get solutions for the economy and hundreds of other things!
What a "fair" world...

p.s.: Honestly, if I was the studio of "Little Fokers" and Wilson asked for 15 millions for his small UNIMPORTANT role...I'd laugh on him. Just because he's famous, I'd give him ONE million TOPS. I said 5 millions before, but when I think all these poor people struggling to save their houses and feed their kids, when all these Hollywood $%^# make 1 million a day for nothing, it's just outrageous...
