guess his prison sentence

25 years

reply

10-15. He doesn't seem remorseful so he'll find a way to pay someone off to receive a lighter sentence.

reply

Oh if he manages to pay off a bunch of important people it could even be 0

reply

What rhymes with "zero"?

reply

Hero?

reply

Well, yes but but that's not the correct answer. I'm too non specific. LOL

reply

Convicted on 2 of 5 charges. Faces 5-25 years. What rhymes with "wrong"? Dong?

reply

King Kong
Jim Jong
Mary Wong

reply

Kim Jong, Trump's BFF.

reply

Robert De Niro?

reply

zero and an apology

reply

Where is the crystal ball when you need it?

reply

Convicted on 2 of 5 counts. Faces 5-25 years.

reply

I'm going to guess 7 years, he'll serve 5. I don't have anything to base that on it seems no one gets the max sentence in high profile cases unless it's like a mass murderer or child killer. I wonder how long it will be until he actually starts serving the sentence considering appeals and whatever his lawyers are doing to drag this thing out as long as possible.

reply

apparently he's looking at 28 ..

reply

well with Cosby they had some evidence where he had paid off at least one victim. I don't know a lot about this case but one lady is saying Harvey raped her in 2004, that might be hard to prove. I'll say if he doesn't incriminate himself he's got a fighting chance to avoid prison but still his life is destroyed.

reply

He's finished in Hollywood, but he won't do time.

reply

But surely the judge court etc will have to give him something like at least 10y? Otherwise they going to look like OJ 2 (also as an acknowledgement to the Metoo Timesup movement)

reply

It isn't a murder, so the crime itself is not remotely as clear cut. At this point, it's only a claim of a crime. With OJ, there definitely was a murder, but it was whether or not he did it. It's also long after the fact in most instances, and most judges will realize that a lot of these women might have tried to use sexuality to get career advancement from Harvey. It's irrelevant if that actually happened, because we are talking about building a legal case. Good lawyer, no prior criminal history, and the fact that rape is notoriously difficult to prove means he probably won't do time. The metoo movement is already over, because some women thought it was a chance for attention and jumped on the bandwagon over things like bad dates, rather than actual sexual assault. It diluted the water too much.

reply

Interesting. much to ponder

reply

Great points, you're so right that rape is hard to prove. They found a HUGE legal loophole in Cosby's case(his 2005 admission to using quaaludes to having sex with young women and even admitting it was illegal) but do they have anything like this on Weinstein? Don't get me wrong I think he's done some very bad things but rape is a big leap. Already this trial has email from an accuser saying she "loves" Harvey..this email was sent long after the date she said she was assaulted.

reply

He won't do time - you really believe that?

reply

Lol. Burk484917, I guess you were wrong.

reply

Probably, but he hasn't been sentenced yet. After Jussie Smollett, who can say what the justice system will do.

reply

Fair point about Jussie Smollett.

reply

The Smollett case has fuckall to do with this one.

reply

mistrial
