A good solution is to arrest any woman who fails to report rape to the proper authorities, or fails to report rape at all. Meryl Streep and Oprah should be in jail for enabling 40 years of rape. That’s a lot worse than the college kid who had drunken sex with some slut from Alpha house California without express written consent. It should also be made illegal to make fraudulent accusations about rape.

As a rape victim I can say I completely agree with this. I'm so sick and tired of rape being reduced to a monetary value. It's all about what money any woman can get out of a man and not about justice. That justice part always seems to allude them when it comes to getting money from the guy. Perjury and or making false statements should be punishable by either prison or a sizable fine. Look up the case of Canadian Journalist Jian Ghomeshi where three women colluded to "bring him down". During the trial they were proven to be liars and openly perjured themselves on the stand. However, after the verdict was announced by Judge William Horkins (it was a bench trial not one by jury) where he gave his reasons for finding Ghomeshi innocent, a Twitterstorm erupted with #believethewomen despite the fact that Ghomeshi's female lawyer, Marie Heinen, eviscerated the women on the stand with evidence they clearly weren't victims. But other women empowered them to keep believing they were victims and didn't look at one piece of the evidence against the three women. One of those women was an actress named Lucy DeCoutere who was the one who put this all together. None of these women have faced charges from The Crown for perjuring themselves, and Ghomeshi lost his job at the CBC and continues to be a pariah. That is unfair.

has he actually raped anyone though? I thought the accusations were mainly running a "casting couch", and blackballing actresses who wouldn't sleep with him?

reply

I believe Rose McGowan has directly accused him of rape. I'm guessing he's not in jail due to the he said she said nature of the whole thing. Unless there is some physical evidence, rape is very hard to prosecute. Even if there was physical evidence of everything that's just been alleged, criminal proceedings take a long time.

I think he should go to trial and should go to prison. I'm just not surprised it hasn't been wrapped up yet.

Ohh I didn't hear about the Rose McGowan thing, she is frankly mental so I just tune her out.
