Raped Dozens, but 1000s willingly slept with him

to get ahead, gross industry

reply

It operates less like and industry and more like an underworld. Kind of shatters my hopes and dreams of becoming a filmmaker. Would hate to have to adopt this subculture just to do what I love doing.

I really hope that there's going to be a change in the culture of the entertianment industry, with the people at the top making sure that the people below them don't abuse the people below THEM. That would mean kicking out some of the worst offenders, and if TPtb have any sense they'll fill the resulting voids with decent people, filmmakers who won't turn into magnets for bad publicity and lawsuits*.

And I And I wish I could be confident that TPTB will actually do this, and not just throw a few scumbags to the wolves and get back to business as usual.

* Although, power corrupts.

We don't know the number of women who accepted his offers. I don't imagine it's as many as you might think...because there's no WAY he's have roles for them all. And then, wouldn't it become troublesom when he didn't come through?

At least one of them would have to be unbalanced enough to shoot him (?)
.

Exactly, notice he only hit on the ones who were hot and had talent ie Angelina jolie

reply

The exact ones who didn't want to be bothered with his a**.

reply

Where's the proof of that? Currently, only about 1 woman has said that he actually raped her. Nobody know how many women he slept with, and at the pioint, who the hell cares? He's going to be persona non grata in Hollywood soon.

FYI it's not "willingly" if there's any sort of coercion involved, including economic coercion. And that includes the threat "you'll never work again", and rumor has it he's not only used that threat but carried it out.

Now we haven't heard any first-hand accounts of that, as we've heard first-hand accounts of sexual assaults, but that's a kind of abuse where first-hand testimony from the victim proves nothing. if Hw says "You'll never work again" and she is never offered another acting role, she can't actually prove that Harvey is behind it and not her agent or her own lack of talent. So unless Brett Ratner decides he isn't going down alone and confirms that when one big shot says "Never offer her another role" it happens, we'll never know.

I think he's also talking about the women that pursued HIM. Not just accepted advances, actually went after HIM as a possible career boost.

Where is THAT list?
