I've met Lilly

I've met alot of celebs in my life and have been fortunate enough to, but my all time favorite has to be Lily Tomlin. ive met her twice here in my city of Atlanta and she is the most nicest, sweetest, friendlest, funniest, most respectful woman ive ever met. she was an absolute thrill to be around. she was one of the very first people i came out to. lily sort of helped me come out and when I told her she hugged me and said the easy part is over, the hard part is acceptance. and she couldnt be more right. she even spoke to my mom on the phone who was sick and then my mother finally met her the second time. first time was in 2000 second was in 2005 in Atlanta for a reuion of 9 to 5. i could go on and on about lily. she truly is a class act and a wonderful kind woman. jane wagner is extreamly luckly to have lily in her life. thank you again lily for being so kind, warm and sweet.

Thank you for sharing your story Justin. I'm glad you came out and you WILL find acceptance. The people who don't accept you are not worth your time anyway. I hope you mom supports you. Just be you and be happy.

As to Lily, I'm so glad you got to meet her twice. That's wonderful! I've met her too and I agree she is SOOO NICE and makes you feel so comfortable around her. You forget your talking to this living legend. You don't say how old you are but are you very familiar with her early work from the 1970's? Her stand up is amazing and there is no one like her. Talent talent talent. The woman is incredible.

I saw Lily Tomlin last Tuesday night at "Gypsy" in NY. I saw her at intermission. I would never have bothered her - but I did notice several people going up to her to chat. She seemed quite amenable to talking to everyone....smiling, shaking hands, etc. At then end of the show, she stayed in her seat with her friend...again several people waved and said hello. It was really exciting to see her. she looked great, appeared to be very nice.

Yep, that sounds like Lily....SO nice. Did you see her on the Tony awards? She presented Xanadu. She was so funny, saying she saw the show "and I was L.M.A.O."

She must be making the rounds of all the shows in N.Y at the moment.
