This is very personal stuff and I don't like the fact that it's being made public like this. She seems off but we didn't see the beginning of either clip and we don't know the background of each incident. I wonder who filmed everything?

Come to think of it it's probably one of her sons filming and I find that very disconcerting.

They did not disrespect her in those videos. They have the right to refuse an unnecessary beauty ritual and Britney disregarded their bodily autonomy by barging in after they’ve retired for bed and demanding they put lotion on their faces. That’s purely about control and not concern or guidance.
They questioned an overzealous and hypocritical punishment in a calm and reasonable manner. The offense of going barefoot in public is not severe enough to warrant the kind of unhinged screaming and berating seen in the video. You would think they killed a pet or something. Not to mention that Britney herself has been photographed going barefoot in public on many occasions. Her sons displayed more maturity than their mother in those videos.

Procreating is something that literally any idiot or sociopath can do and does not entitle someone to respect. Parents are just people and must earn respect like anyone else. They don’t belong on pedestals.

Her kids did nothing wrong in those videos. The only disrespect and mistreatment is coming from Britney. They didn’t film her simply ‘getting upset’. The videos show her being verbally abusive and unhinged. You call her ‘crazy’ yet can’t understand why her kids don’t worship the ground she walks on. They’re the ones dealing with the emotional trauma and turmoil of having a mentally ill parent. Of course they should speak up about it to other trusted adults.
Her youngest son has spoken out respectfully hoping to reconcile eventually, but Britney won’t even acknowledge her mental issues and toxic behavior and gets angry at the slightest suggestion that she’s mentally unwell when she makes that obvious everyday with her social media.

Your theory that her kids were horrible to her and she just decided not to mention the alleged disrespectful behavior in the videos is pure speculation. Britney sounds like a classic narcissistic, authoritarian parent, something I have plenty of experience with. Authoritarians almost never have good relationships with their kids once they’re adults, unless they’re complete doormats who buy into the toxic ‘worship your parents’ ideology.
These videos absolutely show unhinged behavior from Britney. Her reactions to what she herself says happened are not rational.

Britney still has mental issues and I agree there are signs of narcissism. She also lacks parenting skills especially in regard to teenagers which is a very difficult age.

I still find their behavior to be very typical. Teens tend to distance themselves from parents and want to hangout with their friends. A non-custodial parent can become offended, like Britney, taking it personally when it isn't.

The boys are still disrespectful like secretly filming her and publicly releasing it. That totally destroys trust and should've been discouraged by Federline. Family problems should've been handled privately by all sides.

Abuse should be documented to ensure that kids end up with the best custodians possible. Some adults are dismissive when kids report the abusive behavior of other adults, so cold hard proof may be needed.

The public’s reaction would be totally different if this were a man saying the exact same things to his kids, especially daughters. Just look at Alec Baldwin- made out to be a monster while Britney is just fed up with her ‘spoiled brats’.

Federline wants to keep those child support payments coming! He's got a shit-ton of other kids to support and no other known source of income. And now that she's out of conservatorship she can ask to have the custody agreement revised, and get partial or joint custody... which would mean a court-ordered reduction in the amount of child support that Federline gets paid. So it's more than likely that he has motives other than the best interest of his children by Britney, in making this stuff public.

Please note that I never said that Britney would be a better parent, or that I support someone with a known serious mental illness becoming a custodial parent. I have no opinion on that one way or the other, but the idiots of the internet ALWAYS assume that if you point out a flaw in an argument given by one side, you must support the other side. That's sloppy thinking.
