She didn't already have 3 healthy, beautiful children. Her first child was stillborn, so dead = not healthy. Sarah and Jackson, her other two children, were with her ex-husband. I'd assume that she wanted to have a child with her current husband, Kurt Sutter, and they had Esme only 3 years after they were married, so yeah.

Also, it's her and her family's life. I'm sure Esme isn't sorry she was born.

Judging by your comment, you are the one who is selfish. And ignorant of what you are talking about. She doesn't have "3" healthy children. And even if she did, it's none of your concern. It's not any of your business what she does with her life, when she decides to have a kid, or how many she wants to have. Worry about your own life.

why is she judgmental for making a different life decision than you would make? do you know her personal reasons for why she decided to do so? no- but you think you have the right to decry her actions as selfish? people have the right to live as they please, whether you like it or not, so long as they aren't hurting anyone. she has money and the kid will be loved and supported, so why the hell do you care? there are plenty of UNWANTED children born to mothers of all ages who would do anything to have a mother who cares for them. people have kids and die prematurely all the time time- how dare those selfish bastards! jesus christ, what convoluted logic

what about what the intended child wants,which might be to know thier parents for longer than 20 yrs? Why is it assumed a parent feels a stronger bond than the child? Or, am I wrong and the loss of a child is more significant than the loss of a parent?

Why would she have a baby at age 52? Obviously the body goes through menopause and women stop menstruating in their late 40s, so that might be biology's way of saying if you're over 45, you probably shouldn't have a baby.

She had her daughter through a surrogate, yes Katey is older than most mother's but at least she is able to look after her kids. My uncle by marriage was in his early 50's when my cousin's were born, he is still alive and his kids are in their 30's.
