What really killed her career while she was at her peak?

I understand her botched plastic surgery, her partying ways, bad choices in projects should be a no brainer as to why she slipped off of Hollywood's radar. However, I can't still seem to figure out why she became Hollywood's biggest joke not too far long after she peaked. I remember when being a Hollywood party girl was glamorized back in 2003-2007, with the likes of Britney, Lindsay, Paris, Nicole, Tara, Bijou and many others.

Do any of you think it's because she was a sloppy drunk, and made a fool of herself at Industry events? Was she known to be tardy to set and causing hold ups? Was she a diva behind the scenes? Was she involved in too many bombs? Was it a mixture of the botched surgery, Taradise and Alone in the Dark in 2004/2005? I want to go with the latter.

I understand she's no Streep or Blanchett, and she was only good for being a sex symbol/bimbo/girlfriend type. But she could have played more of those roles for a few more years until she was entirely wiped off the map in major studio productions. Even Lindsay got chance after chance after chance, even with her inflated lips and raspy voice. With Tara, it was just public shame by tabloids and that was that.

My initial thought was when the photos of the nip slip and her botched lipo photos were released, she then lost her sex appeal, which was the major component that worked in favor for her career. I've probably already answered my question, but I'd like to hear other opinions.

*beep* happens and then you live.

I think it was the '04-'05 stint that was what ruined her career. She made bad career choices. She didn't stray away from the teen comedy which didn't help her work on her range and skills. Also, even though I said she needed to stay away from the teen comedies, she should've never turned down American Wedding. That was a very successful series which could've helped keep her face in the public eye. In the end, it was definitely the period from '03-'05 that ruined her career.

I think it's a combination of everything. While there were other party girls, she got haggard waaay faster than the other girls (Lohan is up there but she's also more than a decade younger than Reid), and from what I remember Reid made some enemies with the other party girls so that probably didn't help her popularity within the industry.
