He also had a serious car accident several years ago and had major facial reconstructive surgery. He hasn't looked the same since then. I don't think he looks bad, necessarily, just different. But I agree, I don't get all the TWD fans who think he looks so much younger than Melissa McBride. He doesn't.

shareI think he has a normal amount of lines for his age. But there are a lot around his eyes, especially the one that wasn't operated on after his accident. He has some scars due to that too. And I saw arecentinterview where he pointed out a scar on his forehead from a cut caused by being hit by the crossbow -- it's unwieldy and he apparently gets hit by it when he is going through doors while filming.
