In his wife's show

Does anyone else find it interesting that when he appears in Rebecca Romajin's shows he's always a jerk to her. I mean he made fun of the fact that she had a sex change in Ugly Betty and in The Librarians he kills her.

Does he do this to her in any other shows she's a regular in? And what are your thoughts on this.
