In an appearance on the Leno show to hump the pilot episode of "Smash", Debra Messing, with her flaming red hair and earth-shattering laugh, proved once again that wherever she goes, Lucy's never far behind.

Always thought of Debra Messing and Fran Drescher as part of the "Lucy Continuum"...great comediennes who seem genetically and stylistically tied to Lucille Ball. Could not be happier to see the return of the gorgeous Ms. Messing to TV in "Smash", which NBC appears to be betting the farm on...(and one can only fervently pray that someone finds a similarly deserving platform for Fran Drescher who's currently mired in the execrable "Happily Divorced").

I just loooove both of these actresses! And Sophia Vegara as well! Who says gorgeous ladies can't be witty and hilarious too?

Debra Messing is talented and beautiful. I always did find a little similarity with Debra and Lucille Ball in the looks department.

No one is more suited for this job than myself...unless it's someone else.

Someone needs to produce another (GOOD) Lucy movie starring Debra Messing. She'd be great. I didn't particularly care for the character of Grace on W&G but she is very talented and had some great reactions!
