Obviously because she has, you know,like, actual talent. You don't survive in the entertainment business for 2 decades without having at least something going for you. If you can do any better than her, let's see it.

I have to agree, she's not a good actress. She comes across as trying too hard to act or just plain insincere / unbelievable. She was perfect in Will & Grace as a superficial, shallow person, although a funny role, it was a funny sperficial and shallow person. She dumbs own every role she's in by the way she portrays the character.

Mysteries of Laura seems like a perfect show for my weak-minded, super-superficial mother-in-law.
