he's the nicest guy

I had the pleasure to have dinner and drinks with Chris during a visit to my home city a few months ago. He is the nicest guy.

a) he's down-to-Earth: he attributes his amazing career to luck
b) he's still awed by the surreal life in which he has found himself, from the driver who picks him up for work every day, to the fact that his father no longer opposes a career in acting ('celebrity changes everything,' grinned Chris)
c) his conversations with "normal people" are a two-way streets - he'll listen to your story as much as tell his own

A talented, down-to-earth person blessed to be enjoying an extraordinary life.

you probably confused him with Elias Koteas

-1882
Nietzsche: "God is dead."
-1900
God: "Nietzsche is dead."

I've read stories by people who've met him and say that he acted like kind of an arrogant prick, so it might be true.

If the story is true, you should feel flattered. One of the hottest men on the planet wanted to *beep* you. And also, him saying "Is this all you do?" was probably a compliment implying that you looked like you could be more than just a waiter, like maybe an actor or a model. I think you're having the wrong reaction to the whole thing.
