Leukemia got him. Symptoms include: Bleeding, bruising, fatigue, fever, increased risk of infections

These bits were great

Totally funny guy and he had great pacing, essential to comedy

He could also get a bit mean, which again, a comedian should be able to handle with his comedy

i listened to conan o'brien's podcast about mcdonald this morning. it's quite a good listen if you're interested.

one of the interesting little details they brought up (all too briefly) was that mcdonald and bob dylan were big fans of each other, and that mcdonald actually spent a few days at dylan's house visiting.

i think it makes a lot of sense that mcdonald was influenced by dylan...now that this idea's been planted in my head, i think you can see a lot of dylan's phrasing and tone in norm's delivery.
