That's crazy.

This is quite shocking. I had not heard a peep about him being sick.

Guy was funny as hell on SNL and fearless in some of the public comments he made.

Yeah, he was a great comedian and a terrific radio and TV interview

This shitty news like all shitty news is quite unexpected

alot of people not just celebrities died recently this year.

an old friend of my family she died from cancer or whatever couple of months ago then her eldest son died like a month or two ago.

then my mother just passed away in her sleep this past Saturday and she was 67

Loved "dirty work" an underrated comic gem for the late 90's

And his piece about when he met Bill cosby and fake the phone number of his death father that was hilarious, and the hipocrisy bit, he was great

I liked Norm MacDonald; I thought he got a bad deal from SNL, and I always found him funny (I'm thinking of his Burt Reynolds "Boogie Nights" spoof interview on SNL right now; ha ha ha ha); I'm sorry to hear he suffered with cancer, but it sounds like he handled things with dignity & class.

I agree with your last line 100%, nobody seems to have known publicly that he was very sick

And when someone mentions the legendary Burt Reynolds I picture Norm on SNL half the time!

reply

He was one of my all time favorites on SNL.
